Japan Winter Minimalism

Fine Art Nature Prints

This collection features photographs taken during a winter expedition to Mt. Fuji, the Nagano prefecture, and Hokkaido island in Japan.

Nagano is famous for its hot springs that both humans and monkeys enjoy bathing in. Japanese macaques love to relax and keep warm in the onsens (natural hot springs) during the harsh winter.

Hokkaido is located in northern Japan and experiences heavy snowfall and temperatures that drop below 0 degrees F during winter. The town of Biei in Hokkaido is known for minimalist winter scenes featuring trees on rolling snow-covered hills. Several of their landscapes have been used for advertising images. Farther south, in the town of Tsurui, red-crowned cranes dance as they try to find a lifelong partner.

All artwork can be securely purchased as a limited edition print through the product page. Simply click on the artwork of interest to see more details. I currently offer two limited edition print options, Fujiflex Crystal Archival paper and Gallery Acrylic.
