This collection takes you to the Canadian Rockies and surrounding lakes in Banff National Park during the first snowfall of the winter.
Banff National Park features several beautiful glacier-fed turquoise lakes that offer viewpoints of the Canadian Rockies mountain range. Moraine Lake, Lake Louise, Peyto Lake, Vermilion Lakes, and many more stunning lakes can be found in Banff and along the Icefields Parkway leading to Jasper.
Moraine Lake was my favorite lake to visit because it is situated in the Valley of the Ten Peaks, named after the ten nearby mountains that reach over 11-thousand feet in elevation.
Nearly all of this collection was made in and around Banff National Park in winter, when the crowds thin out and the lakes freeze. Moraine Lake and Lake Louise, Bow Lake and Peyto Lake, the Vermilion Lakes at the edge of town, and aspen and evergreen stands under fresh snow.
Winter changes what these places are. The turquoise that Moraine Lake is famous for in summer gives way to snow, ice and much softer light, and the road to the lake closes for the season, which is part of why it feels so quiet. There is more on the trip in my post on Moraine Lake.

We currently offer two limited edition print options at Brent Goldman Photography to display the artwork in a modern, striking manner: FujiFlex Crystal Archival paper and Gallery Acrylic. The main difference between the two is that the Gallery Acrylic option is frameless and ready-to-hang, while the FujiFlex paper will require matting and framing. Both options will be signed and numbered with the edition and will ship for free in the US.

The photograph is first printed on brilliant FujiFlex Crystal archival paper, then face mounted to 1/4-inch acrylic glass, and finally encapsulated by a 1/8-inch durable backing to provide stability. A rear floating frame is included so the print will be ready-to-hang upon arrival.
FujiFlex prints surpass other printing paper bringing unbelievable resolution, clarity, and vibrancy. Acrylic glass allows the light to bounce through the surface which provides an amazing near 3-D glowing effect, making the image come alive. Combined, you have the ultimate viewing experience.
Please note that the acrylic image displayed may not appear scaled correctly. See main product image above for correct scaling.
A large-format fine art print reads differently than most wall decor. It anchors a room without competing with it, which is why collectors often reach for landscape photography in minimalist living rooms, home offices, and spaces built around natural materials and neutral tones.
Acrylic face-mounts suit brighter, more contemporary rooms where the glass-like finish can catch the light; FujiFlex paper in a simple frame sits more quietly in a study or a hallway.
